This was an entry level course for horticulture. In this course I learn how the functions of plants work and how to care for plants.

HORT 325:

Vegetable Crop Production

This course taught me the origin, nutritive and economic value, botany and cultural practices for major vegetable crops w/lab for hands on practice.

This is one of my friends from class helping us harvest vegetable crops we grew which were then take to the food shelter.

This picture shows omega grafts of two pears we did in class. One of these made it.

In this study abroad I was able to learn how coffee production works and how different another country was from the United States.

Landscape Maintenance and Construction  

This course taught me some practices of landscape maintenance, pruning, planting etc. and construction of residential/commercial landscapes.

SCSC 205:

Problem Solving in Plant Soil Systems

This course introduced me to methods for observation, identification, data collection, and analysis and the combinations of problems that may occur in the management of soils, crops, and natural resources.

This is a picture of me after my group and I presented our research over our plots in the cotton field.

Soil Science

This course was an introduction to the nature and properties of soil. We learn the types of soil around College-station, TX and the world.

This picture is of my friend Regina, my lab partner, testing out the clay content of a ball of soil.

General Entomology

This course I learn about insects and there evolution over time and learned basic insect taxonomy.
